Discipline
Any
system material or human must have some guiding principles so as to unify the
different parts or diverse activities towards the achievement of some planned
goals. The whole universe, or more specifically, nature, for example, is
governed by some natural “Laws”, any aberration from which must lead to chaos
or disequilibrium in the balancing state of various pats of the system. As with
the material world, so with human society, if not in the strictest sense.
Society, including various institutions of it, is a system of which each and
every individual is a constituent part. Man, therefore, must adhere to some
rules and regulations to adjust him to the society he lives in. These rules and
the adherence to such rules are called discipline. Discipline, however,
includes any constructive living pattern followed in the daily life. To be
frank, the civilized man is a product of discipline. But for it, no
organization would run; no army could have a cohesive power in it, no big
achievement in the human worked would be possible.
